Gamers Republic eSports Club has planned to organize an amatuer DotA Tournament during December 2009.

It's not yet been confirmed and the budget for the price money is low due to lack of sponsors.

Some of the informations that are confirmed:-
-Consist of 16 Teams
-Top 5 Teams in Sarawak and their players are banned
-Double Elimination
-Entrance Fee (Value to be Decided)

ANY FEEDBACKS OF ANY TEAMS INTERESTED IN THIS TOURNEY ARE WELCOMED.

I have some feedback. I talked to two ECL members already. They seem interested in this. Now just have to talk to the clan lord for confirmation that they will participate if we do organize a tourney.

ECL from St Joe is it? Seems like many new team hmm..

Banned teams/players I suggested are as follows :

and any teams trying to "recruit" the above will not be tolerated and will be banned.


Tournament will be "Double Elimination Bracket" or "Single Elimination Bracket" giving chances in a day or two of the tournament progress. 20 PCs will be booked for the tournament. Not to mention a GR committee will be in charge of bringing a safety pendrive to save all the replays!

Entrance fee estimated cost would be RM15 or RM25.

Budget for overall prize giving would be around cost of RM350 added up with PC hours RM100 or above! Unique prizes idea are given and that's certificate of reaching top4!

Primary prize choice :
1st - RM150 + 5 certs
2nd - RM100 + 5 certs
3rd - RM50 + 5 certs
4th - 5 certs

Secondary prize choice :
1st - RM100 + 5 certs
2nd - RM75 + 5 certs
3rd - RM25 + 5 certs
4th - 5 certs

Why certificates? To mark their attendance to this GR E-sports Amateur Tournament and also to give them the record they can reach so far as of casual and competitive level. Certificates can be printed after tournament and meet up to get their certs. Getting to 4th placing is more of a consolation and hopefully for them to compete in any tournament organised again. Motivation is part of the factor.



Organising teams will have different roles I suggested.
1) Replay Saver x 1 per
2) Referees x 3 per
3) Camera Man (using handphone or camera also can to take team photo) x 1 per
4) Organiser x 1 per

Should have cover up most of the tournament schedules/running.

Seems like a good idea. Trying to pull teams to participate now.

The project stays but the expected date for the tourney wouldn't be soon.

Hopefully 2010 have like 10 tournaments at least to cover up the year within. Giving improvement and also know friends from other teams especially those you can recruit in future or play with LOLZ!

Should be at least 20 + teams cause the title attracts new and quite strong teams to join.
Now it's their initiative to make poster and set what date in 2010 will they held tournament and such.

New Cyber Cafe!
There's also a new cyber cafe around the roundabout going to Tabuan , 3rd Mile where there's the IPOH Kopitiam. Mars Cyberzone has opened! Haven't tried visiting yet but will go there soon.
